Elaine qualified from the University of Brighton, UK with a degree in Masters of Podiatry. She was previously trained in Royal Surrey County Hospital and Eastbourne District General Hospital in United Kingdom. Elaine also hold two degrees from Australia. In her home country, she has been practicing in a private clinic in Kuala Lumpur for 3 years.
Elaine is an advocate for evidence-based practice in order to provide best quality of care for her patients. Elaine’s research, which was recently published in the Journal of Foot and Ankle Research, assessing pediatric flat feet and its intervention; in order to improve outcome when treating pediatric patients. Elaine also participated in a Buro interview to provide insights on different types of footwear.
Elaine's interests are not limited to only biomechanics but also extended to diabetic foot complications, nail surgery and anything in between (toes). Her passion is driven to educate Malaysians on podiatry and a podiatrist's role in managing lower limb pathology.
